He is a Certified Specialist in civil litigation with the Law Society of Ontario. In recognition of his professional work, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association awarded him the H. Bruce T. Hillyer Award for fearlessly advancing the rights of injured persons through excellence in trial advocacy.
Kevin respects the efforts by persons of all capacities from all walks of life to contribute to civil society. In his volunteer work, Kevin served as a mentor with the Law Society of Ontario, the Federation of Asian-Canadian Lawyers, and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. He was elected to serve for six years on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. He spoke at professional conferences and wrote for legal publications about injury law and trial practice. He has been serving as a volunteer advisor in the Law Society of Ontario's Coach and Advisor Network (CAN) Program since its inception in 2017 to provide guidance and assistance to legal professionals.
In public interest advocacy, he explores systemic solutions to apparent challenges in the justice systems including flawed expert evidence in order to reduce the risks of wrongful civil verdicts and their catastrophic consequences on Canadians in different areas of law.
